Students have been part of every serious movement for justice in this country. Campus Leadership interns serve as We The Revolt's representatives at their own college or university. They build a student chapter, host screenings and conversations, and connect students to service, internships and research. The goal is not a single good event. It is a chapter with officers, a calendar and relationships that will still be there after you graduate.
What we need
- Campus ambassador work: represent We The Revolt accurately to student organizations, faculty, campus ministries and administrators.
- Chapter building: recruit officers, draft a simple charter, register with your institution and plan a semester calendar.
- Campus events: host film screenings, panels and service days within your institution's event policies.
- Recruitment: connect interested students to volunteer roles, internship tracks and research opportunities.
- Reporting: keep an accurate record of events, attendance and contacts, and share it with your supervisor each month.
What we expect from you
- Current enrollment and good standing at your institution.
- Comfort speaking to groups, and the judgment to represent the organization without overstating what it does.
- Compliance with your institution's rules for student organizations, events, fundraising and use of its name.
- Hospitality toward students of every background and belief. Every event is open to all.
- Consistency across the full semester.
What you will gain
- Experience building an organization from the ground up.
- Training in event planning, public speaking and community organizing.
- Connection to student leaders in other cities across the We The Revolt internship network.
- A written evaluation at the close of the term and, on successful completion, a professional reference from your supervisor.
Deliverables
- A registered student chapter, or a documented plan for registration, with at least two officers.
- At least two campus events in the semester, with a short report on each.
- A record of students connected to service, internships or research.
- A transition memo for your successor.
