Many young people inside detention have watched adults come and go. Detention Mentors are the ones who keep coming back. You will join a We The Revolt team inside a juvenile facility, lead small-group conversations on identity, choices and purpose, and build one-to-one trust with a young person who needs to see that a different life is real. It is slow, steady work. It is presence, and presence is what changes the story. Because you will be with minors inside a secure facility, this role requires a background check and clearance from the agency that runs the facility. We walk you through every step.
Commitment: 2 hrs/week for at least 6 months
